Open Faculty Positions – April 2025

IIM Bodh Gaya is conducting an open recruitment drive for various faculty positions:

• Professor
• Associate Professor
• Assistant Professor (Grade I & II)
• Professor/Associate Professor of Practice

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Professor (Academic Level 14A)

• Ph.D. with 10 years of teaching/research experience (4 years as Associate Professor).
• First class (≥60%) in Master’s with a consistent academic record.
• Publications:
  • Minimum 8 ABDC-B/ABS-3 OR
  • 1 ABDC-A/ABS-4 + 6 ABDC-B OR
  • 2 ABDC-A + 4 ABDC-B OR similar.
• Preference: Book published by a reputed publisher and case study in Harvard/Ivey/Emerald.
• FPM/Ph.D. supervision preferred.

Associate Professor (Academic Level 13A2)

• Ph.D. with 6 years of experience (3 years post-Ph.D.).
• Master’s degree with first class (≥60%).
• Publications:
  • 5 ABDC-B OR
  • 2 ABDC-A + 1 ABDC-B OR similar combinations.
• Additional preference: Books and case studies published as above.

Assistant Professor – Grade I (Academic Level 12)

• Ph.D. with 3 years of post-Ph.D. experience.
• First class (≥60%) in Master’s with strong academic record.
• Publications:
  • 3 ABDC-B OR
  • 1 ABDC-A + 1 ABDC-B.
• Preference: IIT/IIM/IISc/IISER/NITIE Ph.D. candidates (within last 3 years) may be considered contractually without publications.

Assistant Professor – Grade II (Academic Level 11)

• Ph.D. with >1 year post-Ph.D. experience.
• First class (≥60%) in UG, PG, Class X & XII.
• Publications:
  • 2 ABDC-B OR 1 ABDC-A.

Assistant Professor – Grade II (Academic Level 10)

• Fresh Ph.D. candidates or those with <1 year post-Ph.D. experience may apply.
• First class (≥60%) in all academic qualifications.
• Preferred: At least 2 ABDC-B/ABS-3 publications.

Professor / Associate Professor of Practice (Academic Level 14 / 13A2)

• Minimum 20 years of industry/government experience.
• Ph.D. preferred, but not mandatory if offset by domain expertise.
• Must demonstrate strong practical knowledge and teaching potential, especially for Leadership Development Programs (LDPs).

General Notes for All Applicants

• Relaxation in eligibility: 5% for SC/ST/PWD and 3% for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
• Journal Quality Standards: Based on ABDC Journal Quality List.
• Publications must be indexed in Scopus or Web of Science (WOS).
• Screening Committee reserves the right to apply higher benchmarks based on the applicant pool.
• Exceptional candidates lacking in publications may be considered for contractual roles.
