Job Title:

Network Technician (Non-Teaching Faculty Position)

Employment Type:

• Temporary (Initial appointment for 1 year, with potential for extension based on performance)

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-year Diploma in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, or Computer Engineering, recognized by the Directorate of Training and Technical Education of any state or the Government of India.
• Candidates with a 4-year degree in Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a 3-year MCA are also eligible. Degrees must be recognized by UGC/AICTE.
• A minimum of 55% marks is required in the qualifying diploma or degree for all categories.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the field.

Desirable Skills:

• Strong understanding of network infrastructure.
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure protocols and transport.
• Experience in creating network diagrams and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with all levels of IT staff, both internal and external.

Job Location:

• Guwahati, Assam

Pay Scale:

• Rs. 20,000 to 25,000 per month (depending on qualifications, experience, and performance).
• Subject to revision as per Government of India notifications. Exceptional candidates may receive a higher pay scale, as determined by the selection committee.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage telecommunication needs.
• Design, deploy, and administer Wireless Infrastructure.
• Recommend upgrades, patches, and new equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain LAN/Wireless LAN systems.
• Oversee local and wide area networks (wired and wireless).
