IIT Ropar Assistant Professor in School of AI and DE

Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Professor Grade-I

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree.
    • Strong academic background in AI, ML, Data Science, Computer Science, EE, ECE, Maths & Computing.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years post-Ph.D. teaching, research, or professional experience (excluding Ph.D. tenure).
    • Proven research record with publications in reputed journals/conferences (A and A), patents, and interdisciplinary AI research*.
  • Pay Scale:
    • Level 12: ₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400 per month.
    • Eligible for Level 13A1 (₹1,31,400 – ₹2,04,700) after 3 years, based on performance.

Assistant Professor Grade-II

  • Candidates meeting all criteria except post-Ph.D. experience may be considered.
  • Pay Scale:
    • Level 10: ₹70,900 per month (entry-level).
    • Level 11: ₹84,800 per month (after 1-year post-Ph.D. experience).
    • Level 12: Promotion to Assistant Professor Grade-I based on performance.
