Initially known as Punjab Technical University, it was renamed I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University in 2015 in honor of the former Prime Minister of India, Late Sh. Inder Kumar Gujral.

Qualifications:

Eligibility Criteria (A or B)

A.

  1. Eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned, allied, or relevant discipline.
  2. Published high-quality work with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
  3. A total research score of 120 as per Appendix II, Table 2.
  4. At least 10 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, or equivalent research experience in national-level institutions.
  5. Successful guidance of doctoral candidates.

OR

B.
An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. from academic institutions or industry, who has made significant contributions to the relevant discipline, supported by evidence and 10 years of experience.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed UG/PG in the relevant discipline with excellent academic records.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Passionate about teaching and guiding students.
  • A strong research record.

Salary:

Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 (AGP 10,000)
