• Ph.D. with One year of post-Ph.D. experience.
• First Class in UG and PG degrees.
• Good quality publications with at least two papers in Q1/Q2 journals.

Assistant Professor (Grade I)

• Ph.D. with three years of professional experience after Ph.D. or six years after M.Tech.
• First Class in UG and PG degrees.
• Good quality publications with at least four papers in Q1/Q2 journals (two outside Ph.D. work).
• One externally funded project.

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. with six years of professional experience after Ph.D. or nine years total (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period).

• First Class in UG and PG degrees.
• Good quality publications with at least twelve papers in Q1/Q2 journals (four at Assistant Professor Pay Level 12).
• One Ph.D. guided as sole or principal supervisor.
• Two ongoing externally funded projects or one ongoing and one completed.

Professor

• Ph.D. with ten years post-Ph.D. or thirteen years of total experience (excluding Ph.D. enrolment period).
• Seven years post-Ph.D. experience and four years as Associate Professor with AGP Rs. 9500 (Pay Level 13A2) or seven years with AGP Rs. 9000 (Pay Level 13A1).
• First Class in UG and PG degrees.
• Good quality publications with at least 20 papers in Q1/Q2/A/A* journals (10 at Associate Professor Pay Level 13A2).
• Three Ph.D. degrees guided.
• One high-valued sponsored/consultancy project.
