Job Description:

IIMB is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as its next Director. The candidate should be an accomplished academic with a strong record in management education, research, and institutional leadership.

The Director will be responsible for:

• Providing academic and administrative leadership under the guidance of the Board of Governors.
• Strengthening IIMB’s position as a globally recognized business school.
• Leading a highly talented faculty and staff to achieve excellence in teaching, research, and innovation.
• Overseeing the financial management of the institute, ensuring sustainable growth.

The Director will be appointed for a five-year term, in accordance with the IIM Act, Rules, and Regulations.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications:

• Distinguished academic record with a first-class degree at Bachelor’s and Master’s level.
• Ph.D. or equivalent from a reputed institution.
• Minimum 15 years of teaching and research experience, with at least 7 years as a full Professor.
• Extensive published research of global quality.
• Strong industry and academic networks.
• Proven administrative and leadership experience in a reputed institution.

Additional Requirements:

• The candidate must be an Indian Citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
• The appointment will be for 5 years or until the candidate reaches 70 years of age, whichever is earlier.
• IIM Bangalore encourages applications from reserved categories (OBC, SC/ST, EWS, PwD) as per the Government of India’s Reservation Policy.
