Essential Qualifications

• Professor: Ph.D. with 10+ years of teaching/research experience, including 4 years as Associate Professor. Strong leadership and publication record required.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. with 6+ years of experience, including 3 years as Assistant Professor. Demonstrated independent research experience.
• Assistant Professor Grade I: Ph.D. with 3+ years of relevant teaching/research experience. Preferably below 35 years of age.
• Assistant Professor Grade II: Entry-level Ph.D. holders without post-Ph.D. experience.
• Visiting Professors/Retired Professors: Proven teaching and leadership experience.

Pay Scale

• Professor: Academic Pay Level 14A (₹1,59,100 – ₹2,20,200)
• Associate Professor: Academic Pay Level 13A2 (₹1,39,600 – ₹2,11,300)
• Assistant Professor Grade I: Academic Pay Level 12 (₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400)
• Assistant Professor Grade II: Academic Pay Level 10 (₹57,700 – ₹98,200)

For Visiting Professors and Retired Professors, remuneration will be as per IIT Jammu regulations.
