NIT Patna is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the 2024–2025 academic calendar. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking teaching positions and research jobs in the dynamic field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

National Institute of Technology Patna (NIT Patna) is the 18th National Institute of Technology established by the Ministry of H.R.D., Government of India. Previously known as Bihar College of Engineering, it has a legacy dating back to 1886, starting as a Pleaders Survey Training School and later evolving into a prestigious engineering college in 1924.

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Title:

  • Design and Development of Audio Sensor and Data Acquisition Systems for the consortium project:
    “ML-Enabled RISC-V-based i-LoRa SOC for Forest Event Monitoring.”
JRF Position in ECE at NIT Patna

Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • For JRF:
    • B.E./B.Tech. with a minimum of 60% marks in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a valid GATE score.
    • OR
    • M.E./M.Tech. with a minimum of 60% marks in Electronics and Communication Engineering, VLSI, Embedded System, Microelectronics, or Electronics System, and GATE qualified.

Fellowship:

  • Rs. 37,000 + HRA @ 16% per month (JRF)
  • Rs. 42,000 + HRA @ 16% per month (SRF after promotion)

Duration:

  • 2 years as JRF, followed by promotion to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the remainder of the project.
