The Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSKHPKV), Palampur, invites applications for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Field Assistant. The fellowship is part of the ad-hoc project titled “Development of anthracnose (pod blight) resistant genotypes through induced mutagenesis in soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill)” and is co-terminus with the project.

Fellowship Details:

  1. Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
    • Number of Fellowships: 1
    • Essential Qualification:
      • M.Sc. in Genetics & Plant Breeding with UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET
      • Adequate knowledge of data management and experience in molecular techniques
    • Remuneration:
      • ₹37,000/- fixed PM + HRA (for the first two years)
      • ₹42,000/- PM + HRA (for the third year as SRF)
    • Application Fee: ₹450/- (₹110/- for reserved categories)
  2. Position: Field Assistant
    • Number of Fellowships: 1
    • Essential Qualification:
      • 10+2 with Science
    • Desirable Qualification:
      • Knowledge of data recording of plant breeding (mutation) experiments
      • Computer applications
    • Remuneration:
      • ₹15,000/- fixed PM
    • Application Fee: ₹150/- (₹30/- for reserved categories)
