The National Institute of Technology Patna (NIT Patna), one of India’s prestigious institutions, is the 18th National Institute of Technology established by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Its roots trace back to 1886 when it began as a pleaders’ survey training school, eventually becoming the Bihar College of Engineering Patna in 1924.

Qualifications Required:
- Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Physics with at least 55% marks
- Valid NET/GATE score
- Specialization preferred in Solid State Physics, Physics with Electronics, or Materials Science
- Candidates with an M.Tech. in Nano-Science and Technology/Materials Science are also eligible
Location:
Patna, Bihar
Pay Scale:
₹31,000 per month + 18% HRA as per rules
Project Duration:
Initially for one year, with possible extensions based on performance. This is a temporary position tied to the project duration.
