IIT Jammu Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2024

The Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the faculty recruitment 2024 drive. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in teaching jobs and research positions to contribute to a cutting-edge project.

Organization Profile:

IIT Jammu was established in May 2016, following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, and the Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Government of India. Located in Jagti, Tehsil Nagrota, the campus is just 15 km from Jammu Airport and strategically positioned on the National Highway.

Project Title:

Design, Development, Installation, and Provisioning of Remote Diagnostics and Health Monitoring System Using IoT for Hydroelectric Power Plant

Sponsor:

This project is sponsored by the Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) under the RSOP scheme of the Ministry of Power (MoP), Government of India.

Qualification Criteria:

Candidates must meet the following qualifications to apply:

  • M.E./M.Tech./MS(R) or equivalent degree in ECE/EE/CSE/IT and related fields with 65% marks.
    Note: 5% relaxation for SC/ST/PH candidates. Students awaiting results may also apply.
    OR
    B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. in ECE/EE/CSE/IT and allied subjects with 65% marks.
  • Qualified in any of the following national eligibility exams:
    • GATE
    • CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship)
    • National-level examination by Central Govt. agencies like DST, DBT, DAE, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
  • Desirable Programming Skills: C/C++/Python, Arduino/Raspberry Pi, IoT work experience.

Age Limit:

  • Upper age limit: 28 years.
    • Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/women and physically handicapped candidates.

Job Duration:

The position is initially for one year and may be extended based on performance or project completion.

Pay Scale:

  • Rs. 37,000/- + HRA as applicable.
