Essential Qualifications
- M.Sc./M.Tech in Geology, Applied Geology, Earth Science, or related fields with 55% marks for GN/OBC (50% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC-recognized universities.
- Valid CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE/NET qualification.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in Igneous Petrology, Geochemistry, Geochronology, Mineralization, or related fields.
- Fieldwork experience in the Himalayan regions as part of postgraduate dissertations or research projects.
Project Duration
Three years.
Engagement Period
Initially for one year, extendable based on project extension, satisfactory work, and fund availability.
Age Limit
Below 28 years as of the interview date (Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per government norms).
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should:
- Hold a UG/PG in the relevant discipline with strong academic records.
- Demonstrate a passion for teaching jobs in academic settings.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Possess a good research record.
Pay Scale
- Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA for the first two years.
- Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA in the third year after two years of research experience.
