Job Details

• Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
• Employment Type: Temporary
• Department: School of Marine Engineering and Technology
• Research Project Title:
  Synthesis, Characterization, and Applications of Doped Titanium Nano Metal Oxide Additives in Biobased Vegetable Gear Oil Lubricant for Marine Applications

Qualification Requirements

Candidates should possess:

• M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university or institute.
• Knowledge of material characterization techniques, with familiarity in Materials/Nano chemistry and organic chemistry.
• Background in the chemistry of pharmaceuticals, petroleum products, and petrochemicals is desirable.

Candidate Profile

• Academic Background: Completed UG/PG in the relevant discipline with strong academic performance.
• Skills and Experience:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for teaching and student mentorship
  • Proven research record

Job Location

Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Salary & Duration

• Pay Scale:
  • JRF fellowship: ₹31,000 per month for the first two years
  • SRF salary: ₹35,000 per month in the third year
• Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to two additional years based on project duration.
