Qualification Requirements:

A. For Indian Degrees

• Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in relevant subject from a recognized Indian university or equivalent from abroad.
• Must have cleared NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or equivalent accredited tests like SET.
• Ph.D. degree holders are exempted from NET/SET if: Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
• Evaluated by at least two examiners.
• Open viva voce conducted.
• Two published papers from Ph.D. work (at least one in refereed journal).
• Presented two conference papers sponsored by recognized bodies like UGC/ICSSR/CSIR.
• Certification by Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs) required.
• For subjects where NET/SET is not conducted, a Ph.D. remains mandatory.

B. For Foreign Degrees

• Ph.D. from a top 500 globally ranked university as per: QS World Rankings
• Times Higher Education (THE)
• Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)
