The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is recognized as an “Institute of National Importance.” It aims to be a Center of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. The first NIPER was established in Mohali in 1998 under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. Additional NIPER institutes were later established, including NIPER Kolkata.

  • Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • Employment Type: Temporary
  • Project Title: Fiber Reinforced Poly (l-lactic acid) for the Fabrication of Bioabsorbable, and Antibiotic Surgical Staples for Wound Closing.

Qualification

  • Required:
    • M. Tech/ M.S (Pharm)/ M. Pharm/ M. Sc in Pharmacy/ Medical Devices, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, Nanotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or equivalent with at least 60% marks.
    • Valid GPAT/NET/GATE qualification is mandatory.
  • Preferred:
    • Candidates with experience in synthesizing biomaterials, including mechanical and biological characterization.
    • Prior experience working in funded research projects.

Salary

  • ₹37,000/- per month plus admissible HRA
