National Institute of Technology, Goa: Faculty Recruitment 2024 for JRF and Project Associate

The National Institute of Technology, Goa (NIT Goa), a premier technical institute, invites applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Associate positions as part of its Faculty Recruitment. These roles are temporary but offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to advanced research in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Organization Profile:

NIT Goa, established in 2010 under the NIT Act 2007, is recognized as an ‘Institute of National Importance’. It operates autonomously under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Job Titles:

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • Project Associate

Project Title:

“Design and Development of FPGA Accelerator IP for Deep Neural Network (FAipDNet)”

Departments:

  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Qualification Criteria:

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
    • M.E/M.Tech./M.S or B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
    • Minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale. SC/ST candidates: 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks.
    • GATE qualification at any point in time.
  • Project Associate:
    • Same educational qualifications as JRF.
    • Minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale. SC/ST candidates: 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks.

Required Skills:

  • Development of image processing and Machine/Deep Learning algorithms.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Verilog/VHDL, FPGAs, ASIC, and Python programming.
  • Strong technical and communication skills.

Job Type:

  • Temporary (Initial duration of one year, extendable based on performance)

Job Location:

  • Goa

Pay Scale:

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA as per norms.
  • Project Associate: Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA as per norms.
