About the Institute
Nestled in the serene surroundings of Karaikal, a coastal enclave in the basin of the river Kaveri, National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY) is among the ten new NITs established in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Despite being a relatively young institution, NITPY is committed to nurturing competent and responsible technocrats to contribute to the nation’s development.
Since the academic year 2010–11, NITPY has been admitting students through JEE Mains, with 50% of seats reserved for local candidates (Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam) and the rest for students across India.
