PGDAV College (EVE), University of Delhi – Recruitment for Assistant Professors

PGDAV College (Evening), affiliated with the University of Delhi, invites online applications for the post of Assistant Professor in the departments of Commerce, History, and Mathematics. The recruitment offers positions in the Academic Pay Level-10 with an entry pay of Rs. 57,700 – 1,82,400 under the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix, plus applicable allowances.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria for appointment:

  1. Qualifications:
    • Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
    • Candidates must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR. Alternatively, candidates who have obtained a Ph.D. degree following UGC guidelines are exempted from the NET requirement.
  2. Ph.D. Degree (for Foreign Institutions):
    • A Ph.D. from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in world university rankings by Times Higher Education, QS, or the Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities.
  3. General Notes on Qualifications:
    • Direct recruitment shall be in accordance with guidelines set by the University of Delhi and UGC regulations.
    • Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. prior to 2009 are exempt from NET if awarded as per UGC regulations.

    • Applications will be screened according to set guidelines, and mere eligibility does not guarantee shortlisting.
    • Publications “under submission” will not be counted for publication criteria points.
    • Shortlisting requires meeting the minimum score as per the screening guidelines.
  4. Application Fees
    • Fee for Assistant Professor: ₹500 for UR/OBC/EWS categories.
    • No fee for SC/ST/PwBD and Women applicants.
    • Fees are non-refundable.
    • Fee waiver applies for candidates who applied for Assistant Professor positions in the History & Mathematics departments under Advertisement No. PGDAVE/Teaching/2023/01 (proof required).
  5. Payment & Submission

    • Payment via credit/debit card or Net Banking.
    • Separate applications must be submitted for each department if applying for multiple posts, with fees paid for each.
