Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria for appointment:

1. Qualifications: Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
2. Candidates must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR. Alternatively, candidates who have obtained a Ph.D. degree following UGC guidelines are exempted from the NET requirement.
3. Ph.D. Degree (for Foreign Institutions): A Ph.D. from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in world university rankings by Times Higher Education, QS, or the Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities.
4. General Notes on Qualifications: Direct recruitment shall be in accordance with guidelines set by the University of Delhi and UGC regulations.
5. Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. prior to 2009 are exempt from NET if awarded as per UGC regulations.

13. Fee waiver applies for candidates who applied for Assistant Professor positions in the History & Mathematics departments under Advertisement No. PGDAVE/Teaching/2023/01 (proof required).
