Job Description

Directorate of Education, Daman & Diu – Pre-School Teacher Recruitment 2024

The Directorate of Education under the U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu invites applications for Pre-School Teachers and Caretaker Helpers under the Samagra Shiksha scheme. This recruitment is a government initiative focused on early childhood education to support children in their foundational learning years.

Job Details

  • Job Title: Pre-School Teacher and Caretaker/Helper
  • Employment Type: Contract (STC basis under Samagra Shiksha)

Available Positions

  • Pre-School Teachers: Total – 06 (Daman – 06)
  • Caretaker / Helpers (Female): Total – 44 (DNH: 31, Daman: 13)

Qualification Requirements

1. Pre-School Teacher

  • Minimum Education:
    • Senior Secondary (Class XII) or equivalent with at least 45% marks.
    • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) or equivalent; OR
    • Senior Secondary (Class XII) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.); OR
    • Senior Secondary (Class XII) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) or Pre-School Teacher Education Program.
    • Must meet recognition standards by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

2. Caretaker Helper (Female)

  • Minimum Education:
    • Senior Secondary/Class XII (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks.

Age Criteria

  • Upper Age Limit: 30 years (Relaxable as per government guidelines).

Remuneration

  • Pre-School Teacher: ₹10,000/- per month
  • Caretaker Helper: ₹5,000/- per month
