Qualification Requirements

• Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline with a first class in all preceding degrees (bachelor’s degree onwards).
• Degrees must be from a UGC/AICTE/AIU/GOI-recognized institute or university.
• For candidates without first-class mention, a minimum of:
  • 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale, or
  • 60% marks in aggregate is required.
• If CGPA is based on a scale other than 10 points, a certificate confirming equivalence must be attached.
• Degrees from institutions abroad are considered valid if the institutions rank within the top 500 of QS/THE World University Rankings for the last two consecutive years.
• Candidates with a Ph.D. directly after B.Tech/BE are also eligible if other criteria are met, including first-class at the bachelor’s level.
