• Established in 1958 as Deshbandhu College (Evening) by the Ministry of Rehabilitation, Government of India.

• Opened its doors to women students in 1994.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must fulfill one of the following:

A. Master’s Degree & NET Qualification:

1. Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
2. Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR (NET exemption as per guidelines).

B. Ph.D. from a Top-Ranked Foreign University:

• Ph.D. from a top 500 world-ranked university, as per: QS World University Rankings
• Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings
• Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU - Shanghai Rankings)
