Qualifications for Teaching Positions

Candidates applying for PGT & TGT must have the following qualifications:

• (a) Integrated Post Graduate Course from a Regional College of Education of NCERT or a NCTE-recognized University in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks (including B.Ed),
  OR
  Master’s Degree from a recognized university with 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned subject (must have studied the subject at the graduation level as well),
• (b) B.Ed or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks from a NCTE-recognized institution/university
  OR
  Three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed from a recognized institution/university with 50% marks
  OR
  Four years integrated degree including B.Ed component with at least 50% marks from a NCTE-recognized institution/university
• (c) Proficiency in teaching in English medium

Pay Scale

• PGT – Pay Level-08 (₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100) as per 7th CPC + DA & other allowances per Sainik Schools Society rules
• TGT – Consolidated remuneration ₹68,697/- per month (No additional allowances)

• If applying for more than one post, use separate application forms for each.
• Attach the following documents:
  • Attested copies of all testimonials
  • Two recent passport-size photographs
  • Demand Draft (non-refundable):
    • ₹500 for Gen/OBC candidates
    • ₹250 for SC/ST candidates
    • DD drawn in favour of “Principal Sainik School Amethi” payable at Gauriganj or Amethi (UP)
  • A self-addressed envelope with ₹30 postage stamp affixed
