Shri. Binzani City College, one of the oldest and most reputed educational institutions, was established on 17th July 1930 under the Nagpur Shikshan Mandal. The college is affiliated with Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. Initially, it offered undergraduate courses in the Arts faculty, later expanding to Commerce (UG) in 1964-65 and Junior College (XI & XII) in Arts & Commerce in 1974-75.

Eligibility Criteria

• A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
• Must have cleared NET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC norms.
• Candidates registered for a Ph.D. before July 11, 2009, may be exempted from NET/SET if they meet the following conditions:
  • Ph.D. degree awarded in regular mode.
  • Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
  • Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
  • Published two research papers, with at least one in a refereed journal.
  • Presented two papers in conferences/seminars recognized by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR.
• Candidates with a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 (as per QS, THE, or ARWU rankings) are also eligible.

• Apply on plain paper/prescribed proforma, addressing it to the Principal/Dean/Director.
• Enclose a crossed postal order of Rs. 100/- in favor of the Principal/Dean/Director.
• Attach self-attested copies of academic certificates and testimonials.
• If currently employed, submit an advance copy of the application while routing it through the employer.
• Submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent employer before the interview.
