About the Institution

Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology (SMIT), a self-financing engineering college, is located on the Kundrathur main road, approximately 10 km from Chennai city. The institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. Additionally, the institute is recognized by UGC under the 2(f) and 12(B) scheme.

Five undergraduate courses at SMIT have been accredited twice by the NBA, and the college actively participates in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE).

Position: Assistant Professor

  • Pharmaceutical Technology:
    • B.Tech. (Pharma), M.Tech. (Pharma)
    • B.Pharm, M.Pharm
    • B.E. (Chemical), M.E. (Chemical) with Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
  • Computer Science and Engineering: As per norms
  • Artificial Intelligence and Data Science: As per norms
  • Information Technology: As per norms
  • Master of Computer Applications (MCA): As per norms
  • Science & Humanities (Mathematics):
    • NET, SLET, Ph.D., or candidates appointed before March 2019 and currently employed in an Engineering College
  • Robotics & Automation:
    • B.E. with M.E. in Communication Engineering/ Communication Systems/ VLSI

Position: Lab Instructor / Lab Assistant

Qualifications and Preferences

Preference will be given to candidates with degrees from premier or reputed universities, possessing a strong command of their subject, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching.
