The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), established from the 1868 Agricultural School in Saidapet, Tamil Nadu, was later relocated to Coimbatore and affiliated with Madras University in 1920. TNAU took on full responsibilities for Agricultural Education and Research, supporting the State Agricultural Department. TNAU’s campus in Coimbatore served as South India’s sole center for Agricultural Education until 1946, and it became a recognized postgraduate center in 1958. With the addition of the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai in 1965, TNAU was formally established in 1971, becoming a prominent institution for Agricultural studies.

Position 1: Teaching Assistant (Agricultural Engineering)

• Qualifications: Doctoral Degree or Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering with specializations in: Farm Machinery and Power
• Renewable Energy
• Bio Energy
• Soil and Water Conservation Engineering
• Food Processing Engineering
• Educational Background: Two years Master’s and four years Bachelor’s degree from SAU, Central Agricultural University, or a Technical University.
• Location: The Dean, Agricultural College and Research Institute (AC&RI), Kudumiyanmalai, Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu.
• Pay Scale: Doctoral Degree: With NET: ₹55,000 per month
• Without NET: ₹45,000 per month
