The University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), affiliated with the University of Delhi, invites online applications for the position of Junior Assistant on a regular basis. The details regarding the post, eligibility criteria, and application process are as follows:
Position Details:
- Name of Post: Junior Assistant
- Pay Scale: Level 02 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200)

- UR: 09
- SC: 04
- ST: 02
- OBC: 08
- EWS: 03
- PwBD: 03 (02 for VI – Visually Impaired, 01 for LD – Locomotor Disability)
- Total: 29 posts
- Note: Candidates from any category (UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS) can apply for positions reserved for PwBD (VI/LD).
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Educational Qualification:
- A Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) or its equivalent from a recognized Board/University/Institution.
- Must have a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computers.
2. Age Limit:
- The maximum age limit is 27 years.

- Online Application:
- Eligible candidates are required to apply online at the UCMS Careers Portal or by clicking on the Apply Now button in the prescribed format.
- Applicants must ensure that all the information provided is correct, as they will be held responsible for any discrepancies.

- Self-attested Documents Required:
- Proof of Date of Birth (Class 10th Certificate/Birth Certificate).
- Marksheets of essential educational qualifications (Senior Secondary Certificate).
- Any other relevant degree/certificate.
- Caste Certificate (if applicable).
- Disability Certificate (for PwBD candidates, with a minimum 40% disability).
- Experience Certificates (if applicable).
- Application Fee:
- ₹500 for UR/OBC/EWS categories.
- No fee for SC/ST/PwBD and Women applicants.
- Fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Submission:
- Applications should be completed and submitted online before the deadline. Incomplete applications or those without the requisite fee will be rejected.
- Reservation:
- Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD categories will be applicable as per UGC/Central Government norms.
- Candidates claiming benefits under reserved categories must upload relevant and valid certificates issued by competent authorities.
Important Dates:
- Last Date to Apply: 09.10.2024, or two weeks from the date of the advertisement’s publication in Employment News, whichever is later.
General Instructions for Applicants:
- Self-Certification:
- Applicants are required to self-attest all documents, including educational qualifications, date of birth, experience, and any other relevant documents.
- The college will process the application based on the information provided. If the details are found to be false or incorrect, the candidate will face legal action.
- Incomplete Applications:
- Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria or are incomplete will be summarily rejected.
- Application Fee Payment:
- Payment should be made online at the designated UCMS Payment Portal. Incomplete applications without fees will be rejected.
- Reservation Documents:
- SC/ST: Upload valid caste certificates.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Submit a valid OBC certificate for the current financial year.
- EWS: Submit an EWS status certificate.
- PwBD: Disability certificate indicating at least 40% disability.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- PwBD + OBC (NCL): 13 years
- PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
- Government Employees: Up to 5 years for those who have served 3 years in the same or allied fields in organizations under Govt. Departments/Universities.
- NOC Requirement:
- Applicants employed by Government/Public Sector Undertakings must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer when submitting their application.
- Regular Service Exemption:
- Age limits are relaxed for departmental candidates of the university/college or those who have served on a contract/ad-hoc basis.
Important Guidelines:
- No TA/DA: Candidates will not be entitled to TA/DA for attending the test or interview.
- Correspondence: All communication, including interview call letters, will be made via email, so candidates must ensure that they provide an active email address.
- Verification: The College will verify the authenticity of documents submitted by the candidates at the time of appointment or any time during the tenure. False information may lead to termination.
- Jurisdiction: Any legal disputes related to the recruitment process will be handled under the jurisdiction of Delhi courts.
- Right to Amend: UCMS reserves the right to amend the number of vacancies or to cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
