Job Description
Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, has released the Rolling Advertisement No. 05 of 2025 for the recruitment of faculty and senior residents at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
The appointments are on a contractual basis for a maximum of three years, renewable annually, subject to satisfactory performance.

Teaching faculty positions are available for Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, along Senior Resident roles.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit (Faculty): Not exceeding 69 years (up to 70 years engagement).
- Age Limit (Senior Resident): Not exceeding 45 years.
- Educational Qualification: As per NMC (erstwhile MCI) guidelines.
- Medical Registration: Must have updated NMC/State Medical Council registration.
Pay & Allowances
- Professor: ₹2,56,140/- (Level 13, 7th CPC)
- Associate Professor: ₹1,65,945/- (Level 12, 7th CPC)
- Assistant Professor: ₹1,43,345/- (Level 11, 7th CPC)
- Senior Resident: ₹1,43,345/- (Level 11, 7th CPC)
(As per ESIC HQ rules and amendments. Retired employees may draw full pay along with pension benefits.)
Contract Terms
- Engagement initially for 1 year or till the age of 70 years.
- Either party may terminate with one month’s prior notice.
- No PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowance, or promotion benefits.
- Attendance must be marked in AEBAS (Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System).
- No private practice allowed during tenure.
Application Fee
- SC/ST/ESIC Employees/Female/Ex-Servicemen/PwD: No fee
- All Other Categories: ₹500/- via Demand Draft in favor of ESIC Saving Fund A/c No.-2, payable at Namkum

Candidates must bring self-attested copies along with originals of:
- 10th Certificate (for Date of Birth proof)
- MBBS & MD/MS/DNB Degree Certificates and Marksheets
- Valid NMC/State Medical Council Registration
- Reservation Category Certificates (EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwD as applicable)
- Experience Certificates
- Proof of Publications
- NOC/Relieving Certificate (if employed)
- Aadhaar Card
- Recent Passport Size Photograph
- Other certificates (ICMR/NMC workshops, research completion, etc., if applicable)
Selection Process
- Selection based on academic credentials and interview performance.
- Results published on the official website www.esic.nic.in.
- Offer of appointment sent via email only.
How to Apply
- Eligible candidates must attend the walk-in interview with all required documents.
- Reporting time: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on the scheduled dates.
- The application must be submitted in the prescribed format only.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
Step-by-step application process:
- Prepare self-attested copies of all required documents.
- Carry originals for verification at the interview.
- Submit the application form separately for each post.
- Pay the applicable fee (if any) via Demand Draft.
- Report at the venue between 9 AM – 10 AM on the scheduled date.
Important Notes
- Engagement is subject to performance and ESIC norms.
- Selected candidates must sign a contract on ₹100 Non-Judicial Stamp Paper.
- A refundable security deposit of ₹1,00,000/- must be submitted at the time of joining.
- Leave entitlement: 2.5 days per month on a pro-rata basis.
