Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) has released its official notification for faculty recruitment. Applications are invited for Assistant Professor, Assistant Librarian, and Deputy Director of Physical Education posts on a contractual basis. These positions are available at the university’s campuses in Salem, Theni, and Udumalpet.

About the Institution

Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) has its roots dating back to 1876 with the establishment of the Madras Veterinary College. Initially started as an Agricultural School, it evolved into a full-fledged veterinary college in 1903 and has since played a pivotal role in veterinary education and research in India.

Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Professor

• Recognized veterinary qualification under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984
• Valid registration with the State or Veterinary Council of India
• B.V.Sc & A.H / B.V.Sc with a minimum of 60% marks
• Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks

Assistant Librarian

• Master’s degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or equivalent
• Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade

Deputy Director of Physical Education

• Master’s degree in Physical Education / Sports / Sports Science
• Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade

Preference: Candidates with NET (ASRB/ICAR/UGC/CSIR) or equivalent (SLET/SET) will be given preference.
Age Limit: Not more than 40 years as of the date of advertisement.

Salary Details

• Consolidated Pay: Rs. 57,700/- per month
