Ahmedabad University, Gujarat invites applications for the position of Project Associate-II at the School of Engineering and Applied Science. This is a DST-funded research position offering an excellent opportunity and roles in innovative engineering research.

Position Details

  • Title: Project Associate-II
  • Duration: Initially for 1 year, extendable up to 2 more years based on performance.
  • Reporting to: Prof. Sanket Patel, Associate Professor, School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University.
  • Salary: ₹35,000 + 18% HRA = ₹41,300 per month.

Project Details

  • Title: Scalable Digitization of the Indian Classical and Folk Performing Arts
  • Sponsoring Agency: Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India
  • Principal Investigators: Prof. Sanket Patel (PI) and Prof. Sudhir Pandey (Co-PI)

Key Objectives

  • Develop human pose estimation models for real-time feedback and corrections.
  • Address challenges in multi-pose estimation and real-time processing.
  • Build a scalable repository for various dance forms, integrating video and audio analytics.
  • Create applications for human-computer interfaces to enable end-to-end digitization and learning.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct project-related activities, including procurement, vendor management, and data analysis.
  • Develop machine learning models, methods, and codes for pose estimation and correction.
  • Document project plans, expenditure statements, and research findings.
  • Publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

Key Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Python for implementing ML and DL algorithms.
  • Experience with human pose estimation, computer vision, and image/video processing.
  • Knowledge of real-time analytics, signal processing, and audio/speech processing.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualification: MTech/ME in Computer Science and Engineering, ICT, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum Marks: At least 60%.
