Essential Qualifications
Candidates should meet one of the following criteria:
- Option 1:
- Minimum 4 years Bachelor’s Degree in HMCT
- Master’s Degree in HMCT or relevant disciplines
- First Class or equivalent in one of the two degrees
- Option 2:
- Minimum 4 years Bachelor’s Degree in HMCT
- First Class or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience at a managerial level (Assistant Manager or higher) in a 4-star hotel or similar position in the hospitality/tourism industry
Note: Candidates who completed a 3-year Bachelor’s program in HMCT before AICTE’s notification on 1st March 2019 may also be considered, provided they produce evidence of admission.
Desirable Qualifications
- Preference for candidates with relevant industry experience in 5-star hotels in the following areas:
- Food Production/Kitchen
- Accommodation Operations
- Front Office Operations
- Bakery & Confectionery
- Expertise in Indian & Continental cuisine
- Specialization in Kitchen Management Programmes
- Knowledge of preparing kitchen indent for production class practicals
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- A Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred
