North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor of Equine Surgery. Equine Surgery Faculty Position at North Carolina State University

Position Description:

This position includes responsibilities such as:

  • Diagnosis, management, and surgical intervention in equine soft tissue and emergency cases
  • Active participation in didactic and clinical teaching for veterinary students
  • Mentoring and advising house officers
  • Collaboration with Equine Internal Medicine, Radiology, Food Animal, and Anesthesia services
  • Participation in daytime and nighttime emergency services
  • Engagement in collaborative research and contribution to regional/national veterinary advancements

Qualifications:

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • Board-certified or board-eligible by ACVS or ECVS

Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team-based environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of ACVS/ECVS Diplomate experience
  • Demonstrated surgical expertise in soft tissue and emergency procedures

Licensure Requirements:

  • Eligibility for veterinary licensure or faculty certificate in North Carolina
