Job Title:
- History Faculty Position – Full-Time
- Employment Type: 9-Month Contract | Faculty Teaching Position

- Salary Range: $42,000 – $44,000 annually (dependent on qualifications)

Position Description:
This position involves providing instruction, program leadership, and curriculum development in History, Social Studies Licensure, and general education. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching general education survey courses in U.S. History, World History, and Geography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach introductory and survey-level history courses (U.S., World, and related)
- Contribute to curriculum development and evaluation
- Maintain office hours and provide student advising
- Use effective, student-centered teaching strategies
- Participate in faculty meetings, college committees, and campus activities
- Assist with new student orientation and professional development activities
- Uphold all policies of LCC and CCCS, including FERPA and mandatory reporting
- Flexibility to teach day, evening, weekend, and off-campus courses
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in History OR Master’s in another field with 18 graduate credits in History or related areas
- Willingness to teach various subjects and work flexible hours
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in History with teaching experience at the college level
- Familiarity with the community college student demographic
- Experience using diverse instructional methods
- Commitment to equity and working with diverse student populations
- Ability to lead and follow through with academic projects
