G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, has announced Recruitment for Teaching Personnel positions. Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in interview for temporary contractual roles across multiple departments.
Organization Profile
After independence, the rural sector’s development became a top priority for the Government of India. In 1949, the Radhakrishnan University Education Commission emphasized agricultural education through rural universities. Later in 1954, an Indo-American team led by Dr. K.R. Damle, Vice-President of ICAR, proposed establishing a Rural University modeled on the U.S. land-grant pattern. This vision led to the foundation of G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, one of the pioneering agricultural universities in India.

Remuneration
- Assistant Professor level: Rs. 650/- per hour (maximum Rs. 30,000/- per month)
- Master’s degree holders: Rs. 550/- per hour (maximum Rs. 25,000/- per month)
Qualification
- Doctorate Degree in the concerned subject OR
- Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade)
- NET/SLET is mandatory where conducted by ICAR/UGC/CSIR or any Central/State Govt. agency
- In case of non-availability of Ph.D./NET/SLET candidates, first-class M.Sc. in the relevant discipline will be considered
