Jamia Millia Islamia, originally established in Aligarh in 1920, became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for these teaching positions:

1. A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from an accredited Indian or foreign university.
2. Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR or hold a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations (2009/2016).

For Ph.D. holders:

• The Ph.D. must have been awarded in regular mode.
• The Ph.D. thesis must have been evaluated by at least two examiners.
• The candidate should have presented at least two papers in conferences/seminars and published two research papers (one in a refereed journal).

Candidate Profile:

• UG/PG qualifications in relevant disciplines.
• Strong academic record.
• Passionate about teaching and guiding students.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven research experience.

Pay Scale:

• Guest Faculty will receive an honorarium of INR 50,000/- per month. Workload will align with that of an Assistant Professor (contractual).
