Dr. BR Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research – Guest Faculty Positions

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research, University of Delhi, Delhi-110 007, invites applications for two Guest Faculty (Assistant Professor) positions for teaching M.Sc. Biomedical Sciences courses for the academic year 2024-25. Eligible candidates will be selected based on their qualifications and performance in the interview.

Teaching Areas

  • Theory & Practical: Advanced Medicinal Chemistry courses, Biological Chemistry, Toxicology & Pharmacology, Application of Statistics for Biology.

Position Details

  • Position: Guest Faculty
  • Number of Posts: 2 (OBC 01; EWS 01)
  • Salary: Honorarium of Rs. 1,500/- per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

  1. A good academic record as defined by the university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant Master’s Degree (M.Sc. Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Medical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Toxicology, or Statistics).
  2. A Ph.D. in the relevant subject from an Indian university or an accredited foreign university.
  3. Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar tests.
  4. Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. according to the UGC 2009 Regulations are exempt from the NET qualification.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Teaching Experience: A few years of teaching experience at the university, college, or institute level, particularly at the postgraduate level.

Additional Qualifications for Ph.D. Holders

  • Open Ph.D. Viva must be conducted.
  • At least two research papers published in refereed journals (one must be based on the Ph.D. work).
  • At least two presentations made in conferences or seminars based on the Ph.D. work.

Important Information

  • Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will be summarily rejected.
  • In case of any disputes during the selection process, the decision of the Center will be final.
  • No TA/DA will be provided to candidates attending the interview.
  • This position is temporary, and selected candidates will have no claims for permanent employment at the ACBR or the University of Delhi.
