Qualification:
Candidates must hold a full-time Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science (or an equivalent professional degree) with at least 60% marks. Consistently good academic records and knowledge of library computerization are required.
Experience (Desirable but not mandatory):
1-2 years of post-qualification experience in prestigious institutes like IIMs, IITs, or NITs.
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Knowledge of learning resource procurement.
- Basic IT application knowledge in library management.
- Familiarity with library standards and procedures (e.g., DDC, MARC format).
- Experience with library management software (e.g., KOHA, DSPACE).
- Knowledge of business information sources and electronic databases.
- Understanding of copyright and intellectual property rights.
Candidate Profile:
- UG/PG degree in the relevant discipline with excellent academic records.
- Strong communication skills.
- Passion for teaching, guiding students, and research.
Pay Scale:
Rs. 24,300/- (inclusive of Rs. 300/- towards telephone allowance)
