Eligibility, Qualification & Pay Details
Assistant Professor (Grade-I)
- Pay Level: 12 (7th CPC) | Basic Pay: ₹1,01,500
- Qualification: Ph.D. in a relevant area with first class or equivalent grades
- Experience: At least 3 years of teaching/research/industrial experience
- Age Limit: Preferably below 35 years
- Note: Candidates with <3 years post-Ph.D. may be considered for Assistant Professor Grade-II
Associate Professor
- Pay Level: 13A2 (7th CPC) | Basic Pay: ₹1,39,600
- Qualification: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grades and a strong academic record
- Experience: Minimum 6 years (3 years at Assistant Professor Grade-I or equivalent)
- Age Limit: Preferably below 45 years
- Additional Criteria: Consideration based on Ph.D. supervision, research output, patents, and outreach
Professor
- Pay Level: 14A (7th CPC) | Basic Pay: ₹1,59,100 – ₹2,20,200
- Qualification: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grades
- Experience: Minimum 10 years post-Ph.D. with at least 4 years at Associate Professor level
- Age Limit: Preferably below 55 years
- Desirable:
- Strong publication and research record
- Ph.D. student guidance
- Recognized leadership in research
- Course/lab/technology development and patents
