Essential Qualifications for IIT Dhanbad Faculty Recruitment
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. with a first-class or equivalent in the relevant branch and have an excellent academic record. A strong CPI/CGPA/Percentage in Ph.D. coursework is required where applicable.
Experience Requirements for IIT Dhanbad Recruitment 2024
Assistant Professor
- Grade-II (Contract): Less than three years of post-Ph.D. industrial/research/teaching experience.
- Grade-I (Regular): At least three years of post-Ph.D. industrial/research/teaching experience.
Associate Professor
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, with at least 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor (Pay Level 12) in IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIMs, IISERs, or similar institutions. Demonstrated experience in independent research, guiding Ph.D. students, and professional achievements is required.
Professor
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, with at least 4 years at the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIMs, IISERs, or similar institutions. Candidates must show leadership in their area of specialization, with a strong record of guiding Ph.D. students, publications, and professional activities.
Salary
- Assistant Professor:
- Grade-II: 7th CPC Pay Level 10, Minimum Basic Pay: ₹70,900/-
- Grade-I: 7th CPC Pay Level 12, Minimum Basic Pay: ₹1,01,500/-
- Associate Professor: 7th CPC Pay Level 13A2, Minimum Pay: ₹1,39,600/-
- Professor: 7th CPC Pay Level 14A, Minimum Pay: ₹1,59,100/-
