The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi is one of the newer IITs established to expand and enhance the quality of technical education in India. Located in the serene Kamand Valley of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, IIT Mandi boasts a campus on the left bank of the Uhl River, surrounded by the picturesque landscapes of the Himalayas.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant area with a first-class or equivalent at the preceding degree level in an appropriate branch/discipline and a consistently good academic record.

Experience Requirements

  • Assistant Professor Grade-I: Minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial/research/teaching experience, excluding the experience gained during Ph.D. pursuits.
  • Assistant Professor Grade-II: For candidates with post-Ph.D. experience of less than 3 years.

  • Assistant Professor Grade-I
    • Pay Level: 12
    • Starting Basic Pay: ₹1,01,500 (as per 7th CPC)
  • Assistant Professor Grade-II
    • Pay Level: 10
    • Starting Basic Pay: ₹84,700 (as per 7th CPC)
    • Pay Level: 11
    • Starting Basic Pay: ₹89,900 (as per 7th CPC)
    • Starting Basic Pay: ₹92,600 (as per 7th CPC)
