Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for teaching jobs as Professors and Assistant Professors in various academic departments. The last date to submit online applications is 31st October 2024.

Available Teaching Positions
Professor and Assistant Professor positions are open in the following departments:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering

For Assistant Professor roles, candidates may be considered for Grade-I or Grade-II, depending on their qualifications and suitability. Shortlisted candidates will be required to deliver a Teaching/Research Seminar at IIT Ropar, followed by an interview.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
Professor:
- Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the relevant field.
- A minimum of 10 years of teaching, research, or industry experience, with at least 4 years at the Associate Professor level.
- Demonstrated leadership in research, publications in reputed journals, and significant contributions to the academic community.
Assistant Professor (Grade-I):
- Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in the relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-Ph.D. teaching, research, or professional experience.
- Strong research capabilities demonstrated through publications in top journals and conferences.
Assistant Professor (Grade-II):
- Candidates meeting all requirements except for post-Ph.D. experience may be appointed as Grade-II, with pay determined based on postdoctoral experience.
Pay Scale
- Professor: Pay Level 14A (Rs. 1,59,100 – 2,20,200)
- Assistant Professor Grade-I: Pay Level 12 (Rs. 1,01,500 – 1,67,400), with eligibility for promotion to Level 13A1 after three years of satisfactory performance.
- Assistant Professor Grade-II: Starting at Academic Level 10 (Rs. 57,700 – 98,200), with increments based on experience and performance.
