Qualifications for JMI assistant professor vacancy:

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Master’s degree with 55% marks in the relevant field from a recognized Indian or accredited foreign university.
  2. Eligibility Tests:
    • Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET), SET, or an equivalent examination.
    • Candidates with a Ph.D. as per UGC guidelines (2009 or 2016 amendments) are exempted from NET/SET.
  3. Ph.D. Requirements:
    • Awarded in regular mode only.
    • Evaluated by at least two examiners.
    • Conducted an open Ph.D. viva voce.
    • Published two research papers, including at least one in a refereed journal.
    • Presented at least two conference/seminar papers supported by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.
  4. International Ph.D.:
    • Must be obtained from institutions ranked in the top 500 globally by QS, THE, or ARWU rankings.
