Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli (IIITT), also known as IIIT Trichy, is an Institute of National Importance established under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Model by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It is supported by the Government of India, the Government of Tamil Nadu, and industry partners like TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant. IIITT aims to address challenges in the Indian IT industry and foster research and development.

Project Details

  • Title: Ultra Low Power SHAKTI RISC V Based Lightweight Edge AI Processor for IoT-enabled Healthcare Applications
  • Sponsoring Agency: Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India
  • Duration: 5 Years (2024-2029)

Essential Qualifications

For Project Assistant:

  • First class in B.E/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science and Engineering
  • Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university

For JRF:

  • First class in B.E/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science and Engineering
  • First class in M.E/M.Tech in fields like VLSI, Microelectronics, Embedded Systems, IoT, AI and Machine Learning, etc.
  • Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university

Desirable Skills

  • Verilog RTL Coding, C/C++, MATLAB, and AI implementation
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA, IoT-based design, and ASIC design
  • Familiarity with healthcare applications, sensor interfacing, and microprocessor programming

Stipend

  • JRF: ₹30,000 – ₹37,000 per month
  • Project Assistant: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month
