SGTB Khalsa College Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate Recruitment 2024
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur (SGTB) Khalsa College, University of Delhi, invites applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) positions in the ANRIF-sponsored project “New Physics Signatures at Small and Large Scales” (CRG/2023/008234).
The positions are under the guidance of investigators Debajyoti Choudhury, Mamta, and Sukanta Dutta.
Position Overview and Fellowship Details:
- Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA)
- Fellowship Allowance: As per the existing ANRIF guidelines

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
Eligibility Criteria:
- M.Sc. in Physics with CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/INSPIRE qualification.
- Preference for candidates with knowledge in Quantum Field Theory and High-Energy Physics.
- Programming skills in Python, C++, or FORTRAN will be an added advantage.
- Selected candidates are required to register for the Ph.D. Program at Delhi University. For details, visit Ph.D. Program Guidelines.
Documents Required:
- Curriculum vitae (CV) in PDF format with a detailed academic record and scanned mark sheets of the last qualifying examination.
- Name, affiliation, email, and mobile number of one referee.
2. Research Associate (RA):
Eligibility Criteria:
- Ph.D. in Theoretical High-Energy Physics or Astroparticle Physics.
- Candidates who have submitted their thesis for evaluation may also apply.
- Preference for candidates with knowledge in Deep Learning Networks or Quantum Algorithms.
Documents Required:
- CV in PDF format with a list of publications.
- Statement of Purpose detailing your research interests.
- Scanned copy of the Ph.D. degree or proof of thesis submission.
- Two letters of reference, to be emailed directly by the referees.
Research Themes:
While the focus areas are broad, the research topics include but are not limited to:
- Dynamics of fundamental forces.
- Dark matter, lepton genesis, and compact object physics.
- Non-minimal theories of gravity.
- High-energy collider physics using AdS/QCD duality.
- Studies on ongoing and future physics projects (e.g., LHC and FCC).
- Deep learning in physics for particle identification and pattern generation.
