Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College – Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position in Physics

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, under the University of Delhi, invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a DST(SERB)-sponsored research project. This opportunity is perfect for candidates with a background in condensed matter and quantum optics, aiming to work in the dynamic field of quantum device applications. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Project Duration:
36 months

Job Description:

  • This is a temporary position, co-terminus with the project.
  • The total project duration is three years.
  • The Principal Investigator (PI) and the institute reserve the right to terminate the JRF’s engagement if performance is unsatisfactory.

Qualification Requirements:

  • As per DST (SERB) guidelines. For more details, visit DST Guidelines.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience or knowledge in:
    • Condensed Matter Physics (Nano Structures, Quantum Optics)
    • Software tools like Linux, Windows, Ubuntu, MATLAB, MATHEMATICA, QuTiP, etc.

Fellowship Details:

  • ₹37,000 per month plus HRA as per DST(SERB) rules.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum age limit for JRF: 28 years
  • Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/physically handicapped candidates as per government norms.

Age Relaxation:

  • Upper age limit is relaxable by up to 5 years for candidates from scheduled castes/tribes/OBC and physically handicapped individuals.
