Job Description

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad, Telangana, has announced teaching vacancies for the academic year 2025-2026. The university is inviting candidates for recruitment for the positions of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs). Interested candidates can attend the walk-in interview on 20th February 2025.

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The university is named after Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of Independent India, who laid the foundation for higher education in the country. The main campus is spread over 200 acres in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana.

Eligibility Criteria

For Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Political Science

• Educational Qualification:
  • Two years’ Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc Course of Regional College of Education (NCERT) with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject; OR
  • Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• Additional Requirements:
  • B.Ed. degree from a recognized university with relevant methodology.
  • Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • Knowledge of Urdu: Candidates should have studied Urdu as a subject at X Std., +2, UG, or PG level, or have attended an Urdu medium school/madrasa.

For Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) – Social Studies & English

• Educational Qualification:
  • Four years’ Integrated Degree Course of Regional College of Education (NCERT) with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject; OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject combination.
  • Electives for TGT positions:
    • TGT (English): English as a subject in all three years.
    • TGT (Social Studies): Any two subjects from History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science, with one subject being History or Geography.
• Additional Requirements:
  • B.Ed. Degree from a recognized university with relevant methodology.
  • Pass in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • Knowledge of Urdu: Candidates should have studied Urdu as a subject at X Std., +2, UG, or PG level, or have attended an Urdu medium school/madrasa.

Age Limit

• Preferably not above 35 years.

Pay Scale

• PGT: ₹27,500/- per month
• TGT: ₹26,250/- per month
