Research Position:

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Title of the Project:

Advanced Transport Modelling and Simulation for National Highways in India

Project Overview:

This research aims to develop a specialized macro model (Computable General Equilibrium Model) for India’s National Highway network. Additionally, the project focuses on creating an urban data model for Indian cities. It is a collaborative project between Indian Academy of Highway Engineers (IAHE), IIT Roorkee, University of New South Wales, Australia, and NIT Warangal.

Essential Qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (First Class)
  • M.E./M.Tech in Transportation Engineering (First Class)
  • GATE qualified

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Travel Demand Models and Traffic Simulation Models
  • Proficiency in Travel Behavior Modelling, Analytical Skills, and Writing Competency
  • Programming Skills in C++, Python, GIS

Project Duration:

3 years

Stipend:

  • ₹37,000/- per month (first two years)
  • ₹42,000/- per month (third year based on performance)
