National Institute of Technology, Agartala – Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Recruitment 2024

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala, Tripura, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) as part of its faculty recruitment. Eligible candidates can apply through email, postal services, or attend a walk-in interview.

Position 1: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Title of Project: Hierarchical Electrodes: Advanced Design Strategies and Engineering for Na-ion Battery
  • Sponsoring/Funding Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India
  • Essential Qualifications:
    • B.Tech/ M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Biotechnology, or any relevant field
    • Master’s degree in basic science
  • Project Duration: Up to October 2025
  • Stipend: ₹31,000/- per month + HRA (for GATE/NET qualified candidates)

Position 2: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Title of Project: Predictive Control of RCCI engine performance and Emission using Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Sponsoring/Funding Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India under CRG
  • Essential Qualifications:
    • Post Graduate degree in basic science or Graduate/Post Graduate in a professional course
    • Selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC-NET) or GATE
    • Selection through national-level examinations conducted by DST, DBT, DRDO, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, etc.
  • Project Duration: 3 years
  • Stipend:
    • ₹37,000/- per month for the first two years
    • ₹42,000/- per month in the third year

Both positions are based at NIT Agartala, Tripura.
