The Atal Bihari Vajpayee – Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) Gwalior invites applications from highly qualified and motivated candidates of Indian nationality for the following positions:

• Institute Post-Doctoral Fellows (IPDF)
• Externally Funded Post-Doctoral Fellows (EFPDF)

Departments Offering Positions:

• Information Technology (IT)
• Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EE)
• Engineering Sciences (ES)
• Management Studies

At present, 10 IPDF positions are available (two per department).

Eligibility Criteria for IPDF

• Must be an Indian national with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (D.Sc.) from a recognized Institute/University.
• Should have a first-class academic record (at least 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale or 60% marks at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels). Relaxation as per GoI norms.
• Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply but must produce the award certificate before joining.
• At least one degree or work experience must be from CFTIs (preferably IISc/IITs/IIITs/NITs/IIMs/ISI/IISERs) or a foreign university with a QS ranking ≤500.
• Maximum age: 35 years at the time of application.
• Must apply within five years of the Ph.D. award date.
• Candidates with a Ph.D. from ABV-IIITM Gwalior can apply after one year of completing their viva voce.
• Must have at least three publications in SCI/SSCI/SCIE-indexed Q1 journals as per the latest JCR.

Duration & Work Assignments

• Tenure: Initially one year, extendable up to two years based on performance.
• Academic Responsibilities: Up to 8 hours per week, including tutorials, lab work, and seminars.
• Research Expectations: Assist mentors in writing funded project proposals, co-guide B.Tech./M.Tech. students, and collaborate on research publications.
• Publication Targets:
  • Year 1: At least one manuscript submitted in SCI/SSCI/SCIE-indexed Q1 journals.
  • Year 2: One accepted publication in Q1 journals and another submitted.

Fellowship & Benefits

• Contingency Grant: ₹30,000 per annum for consumables, conference travel, and publication charges (unused amount carries forward).
• Accommodation: Provided on-campus (subject to availability) at a nominal license fee. HRA as per GoI norms if accommodation is unavailable.
• Leave Policy: As per Ph.D. rules of ABV-IIITM Gwalior.

Selection Process & Guidelines

• Eligibility will be determined as of the application deadline.
• Part-time experience will not be considered.
• Screening Committee will shortlist candidates based on qualifications, expertise, and research output.
• Shortlisting does not guarantee selection.
• Selection is based on a personal/technical interview.
