Job Title:

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Title:

Investigations into the planning and design aspects governing selective coal cutting technology using surface miners for various rock conditions, for clean coal production.

Project Duration:

• 11 months or up to the project’s end (31/07/2025).

Essential Qualifications:

• JRF:
  • B.E./B.Tech in Mining, Mechanical, or Mining Machinery Engineering with a valid GATE score.
  • Or M.E./M.Tech in the same fields with a valid GATE score.
• SRF:
  • B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in Mining, Mechanical, or Mining Machinery Engineering with a valid GATE score.
  • Two years of research/industrial experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in:
  • Mine Planning (Minex Software)
  • Fraglyst
  • Particle Flow Code (PFC)
  • Numerical modeling (FEA software)
  • R&D project work

Job Description:

• JRF:
  • Laboratory testing of coal and rock samples
  • Field data collection
  • Numerical modeling
  • Report preparation
• SRF:
  • Numerical modeling and analysis using FEA software
  • Laboratory testing with Rotary Cutting Rig
  • Mine visits and data collection
  • Project coordination

Fellowship:

• JRF: ₹37,000/- per month
• SRF: ₹42,000/- per month
  Note: Housing allowance (HRA) is applicable if hostel accommodation is not provided.
