Assistant Professor of Management Opening St. Edwards University

Position Description:

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses across the Management curriculum
  • Develop new courses aligned with industry needs
  • Maintain an active research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications
  • Provide academic advising and mentoring for students
  • Engage with business and non-profit communities to create experiential learning opportunities
  • Serve on university, school, and departmental committees
  • Contribute to the university’s mission through teaching, service, and scholarship

Areas of Teaching Expertise May Include:

  • Strategic Management
  • Social Responsibility of Business
  • Innovation Management
  • Diversity Management
  • Organizational Behavior
  • Human Resource Management

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management or related field (by August 2025)
  • Evidence of potential for high-quality research and publication
  • Demonstrated or potential excellence in teaching

Preferred:

  • Degree from an AACSB-accredited business school
  • Commitment to serving a diverse student population
  • Collegial and collaborative team player

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Teach 7 courses per academic year (4 in one semester, 3 in the other)
  • Advise and mentor undergraduate students
  • Conduct scholarly research in management
  • Develop experiential learning programs
  • Design an innovative curriculum aligned with industry trends
  • Engage in service activities across university levels
  • Support the university’s Holy Cross mission and inclusive learning environment
